Waterbed Sheets

Waterbed sheets are designed specifically to fit today's modern waterbed mattresses

Waterbed sheets are designed specifically to fit today’s waterbeds. While conventional flat sheets may be used, you’ll find that a waterbed sheet set has deeper pockets for the corners and an attached top sheet. The attached top sheet will prevent your sheets from shifting around as you sleep. Depending on the type of waterbed you have, you can continue to use regular sheets as well.

A waterbed is a warm and cozy way to sleep every night. The warmth of the preheated bed lulls you to sleep in an instant. But dressing your bed with the right sheets is what really makes the difference. Everyone has their own personal favorite when it comes to sheets for their waterbed. Silk sheets are smooth and luxurious, not to mention the little bit of sex appeal that comes with them. Cotton sheets come in a variety of thread counts, the higher you go the softer the sheets will be. A 400 thread count or higher sheet set will have you never wanting to get out of bed. Making your waterbed with flannel sheets is pure luxury. On a cold winter evening you will find yourself retiring to bed early just to enjoy the lavishness of the flannel and the warmth of your waterbed. A cotton/polyester blend is also available. This type of fabric is slightly stiffer than pure cotton, but it will soften with each wash.

Since waterbeds are available in the standard sizes, from single right up to California king size, there have to be sheets made to fit. You should always measure your waterbed mattress before purchasing any sheets as it will save you the trouble of returning them if they don’t fit properly. Just because the package says California king, it doesn’t mean the sheets will fit your California king waterbed in particular. Most waterbed sheets have a deep pocket in each of the four corners that will prevent your sheets from riding up while you sleep. This type of sheet will fit most waterbeds on the market today. If you can’t find sheets to fit your waterbed, then you can always have them custom made.

If you take care of your waterbed sheets they will last you for many years. Don’t wash your sheets in hot water as this will decrease the life span. The right sheets for your waterbed will have you sleeping in the lap of luxury.
